WHAT IS A GRIND WORKOUT?

Utilizing principles rooted in speed training & plyometrics along with a supportive and motivated group of peers, Grind Athletix will push you to achieve fitness results guaranteed to change your life.

Each activity progresses at a self-directed pace providing the individual complete control over the level of intensity. Working out in a group setting provides a foundation of support and motivation unmatched by personal training or self-motivated workouts.

Each and every workout is targeted and paced by GRIND’s Hadj Gill, who works out simultaneously – setting the appropriate pace and responding on the fly to the energy and needs of the group. Hadj is passionate about the active participation of the group leader and believes that a trainer shouldn’t stand on the sideline telling people what to do, but should lead by example, feeling the pace and athletic level of each exercise.

GROUP TRAINING

  • Group of women exercising outdoors on a track and field area, performing step-up and lunge exercises on stackable fitness boxes. They are in athletic clothing, engaging in a workout together under a partly cloudy sky.

Within a class members are divided into groups of 3/4 individuals of equal fitness level, working with one another for resistance, speed, and strength training.

  • Group fitness class on sandy beach with instructor, buildings in background

Workouts take place outdoors at various locations around Vancouver such as Hillcrest Park, Rogers Arena and on the sand at Kitsilano Beach. Workouts offer boxing, speed, plyometrics and strength training.

  • Group of people performing side planks in outdoor fitness class on pavement.

Workouts are structured for adults in between the ages of 18-60
